Meet Megan

Walking alongside others through deep listening, compassionate presence, and a lifelong love of helping people discover God's presence in their everyday lives.

My Story

I didn't become a spiritual director because I had all the answers. I became one because I discovered the transformative power of being deeply listened to and of learning to recognize God's presence in the ordinary movements of life.

My approach is rooted in the Catholic faith and shaped by Franciscan spirituality, Ignatian spirituality and the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, along with biblical and theological formation.

I completed my formation in spiritual direction through Loyola University Chicago’s Institute of Pastoral Studies. These traditions and experiences continue to shape how I accompany others, with prayerful attention, thoughtful questions, discernment, and deep respect for each person's unique relationship with God.

People from different Christian traditions and spiritual backgrounds are welcome.

My Image of Spiritual Direction

God’s Presence at the Center

As a spiritual director, I am a companion, a listener, and a witness to the action of God in another's life. My role is to listen with you, to help you notice where God is present, and to support you as you seek to live more fully in God's love.

What You Can Expect

When we meet together, I offer a space of spiritual accompaniment shaped by:

My full attention
Deep listening
Prayerful presence
Compassion without judgment
Gentle questions that invite reflection
Respect for your unique spiritual journey

I trust that God is already at work in your life. Together, we'll simply make space to notice.

What Shapes My Ministry

Catholic Faith

A faith rooted in Scripture, prayer, sacramental life, and an ongoing relationship with Christ.

Franciscan Spirituality

Shaped by simplicity, humility, hospitality, compassion, gratitude, peace, joy, and an awareness of God within creation and everyday life.

Ignatian Spirituality

A tradition of prayer and discernment that invites us to recognize God’s movement within our experiences, desires, choices, and relationships.

Scripture & Theological Formation

Engaging Scripture and Christian tradition as sources of wisdom, reflection, prayer, and deeper relationship with God.

My ministry is rooted in Catholic tradition while remaining welcoming to people from different Christian traditions and spiritual backgrounds. You do not need to share my background to be welcomed, respected, and accompanied.

Why I Love This Work

One of the greatest privileges of this ministry is witnessing people recognize God's presence in places they hadn't expected.

Sometimes that happens during seasons of joy.

Sometimes in grief.

Sometimes while discerning a difficult decision.

No matter where someone begins, I believe every story is sacred, and every person deserves a place where they can be heard with compassion and hope.
